Leadership question
Please assume you are leading a group of real estate negotiator, what kind of leadership styles will you choose to lead your team?

Kindly list out a practical example to analyze from setting goals, motivating employee, creating confidence, discipline, developing team work, facilitates change and representing team to promote an authorize or appointed project or few sub sale properties.

Answer

There are 3 type of leadership
I will use 3 type of leadership
Autocratic or authoritarian
Participative or democratic
Delegative or Laizzez-fair

to run my team

Setting Goal
I will use autocratic system to setting the goal.
If i wanted my team to sell 10 units of property within a month. Then i will set the goal for them to close 20 property within a month. Human will tend to negotiate the figure given. They will feel the task is easier when you re announce the unit need to be sold from 20 units to 10 units after 1 week.  When they feel the task is easier and achievable.


Motivating Employee
I will use participative system to motivating the team member
Will focus on few team members and help them to close the cases. Sharing for those who closing the sale in the weekly meeting in order to make others believe. Its is possible to close sales in this bad economic. Successful of the team members will motivate others to achieve the goal 

 
Creating Confidence
I will use autocratic system to creating confidence
As a leader, i must have be the very best good role model of the team members. I must "break my eggs" or close my 1st sale in order to give confidence to the team members. Action is more powerful than words. Personal sales of the team leader can create a confidence for the leader himself to lead the team. 

Discipline
I will use autocratic system to creating the discipline environment
Different team members come from difference background and culture. Its a very challenging task when dealing with human emotion. Leader cannot ask all the team members to follow the house rules. BUT leader can u tell the team members if you following these methods, you will achieve your sales target. Leader should change the "discipline" wording to "methods " .

Developing Team Work
I will use autocratic system & deligtive system to develop team work.
Some prefer run by their own.  Some they prefer team work. But both of them have the same goal - Closing the sale. Leader have to determine who believe in the team work spirit. Those who prefer run the business by solo shouldn't put it into the team. Because the are an bad apple for the team. Its impossible for the team leader to monitor the whole team. So must divided the job scope and responsibility accordingly base on their capability and skills.


Facilitate Change
 I will use autocratic system to facilitate the change
 Policy change? Strategic change? As a leader, i have to make fast decision in order to adapt to the changes. Its not time consuming by having only one person to make the decision.

Representing the team to promote an authorized / Appointed project
I will use autocratic & delegative system to representing the team to appointed project
Leader have to make fast decision in order to secure the deal.
